Hottest Male Blogger
So I guess I didn't scare you off, huh? Good! Welcome back!
The nominations are in and now its time to vote! What started as a reaction to Playboy’s list of hottest (female) bloggers spiraled into a contest for Hottest Male Blogger with Jane Porricelli of Mom Generations collecting nominations via Twitter. The list has been posted so stop by, check out the contestants, then send your vote for Jason @ GorillaSushi </subliminal message> to Jane via email.
Mom Bloggers Club
If you’re a Mom blogger…or just a blogger who happens to be a mom, you need to join Mom Bloggers Club if you haven’t already.
I have gotten so much information there, not just on blogging but on starting my business, books to read, new blogs to follow…plus I’ve joined groups such as Midwestern Moms, Virtual Assistants, Over Drinks and The Think Tank.
My favorite part is the discussion forum. And, look, one of the discussions I started even made the daily “Comment Carnival” featured topic!
And last week, my blog was the Mystery Mom Blog. There’s a little door on the main page and clicking on it takes you to that day’s Mystery Mom Blog.
With all the talk about social media, Web 2.0, networking, etc. Mom Bloggers Club is one of my favorites, right up there with Twitter and Plurk! When you sign up, make sure you add me as a friend so I know you’re there.
Earworms!
Earworms are just songs that get stuck in your head.** And I’ve had a lot of them today. Everything from “Scooby Dooby Doo, where are you…” and the theme song from Family Guy to ‘Revolution’ by the Beatles and ‘Dontcha’ by the Pussycat Dolls (via the ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks’ movie).
Just thought I’d throw that out there since I really didn’t have anything better to say…and my head hurts. So I’m not doing any writing or graphics tonight, just watching TV and getting sucked in to the Internets.
**Disclaimer: The author of this post assumes no responsibility for the subsequent mental repetition of the aforementioned musical material experienced by any readers of said post.
(In other words…sorry if you’ve got any of those stuck in your head now.)
Sunshine and rainbows
Well, not quite…but I do feel a lot better. I took some pain meds last night and got a decent night’s sleep. And knowing that I have a lot of stuff to do this afternoon has me motivated. I’m in a pretty good mood and indulging in some guilty pleasures is keeping me awake and amused, at least until my coffee is ready.
Here’s my list of guilty pleasures so far today:
1) TV – Crime shows: I am hooked on these, especially the ones about women. Its a very bizarre fascination I have with them. Its ironic how someone like me who is admittedly “crazy” can not even imagine even thinking about, much less attempting, some of the stuff these women have done. I mean even I’m not that crazy! But now I’m watching ‘Cheaters’ because, let’s face it, those people are funny.
2) Music – thanks to Gorilla Sushi, I was reminded that I have an account at Last.fm, so I downloaded it and I’ve been listening to some recommended and “similar artists” tunes. I will sheepishly admit that it pulled up my recently played list from my iTunes and the last several items were some story time podcasts for Princess.
3) Teh Internets – I’m doing some blog hopping courtesy of Entrecard and finding some interesting and funny stuff. And I’ve watched this video on YouTube, courtesy of my British friend Sam, at least twice because its just that damn funny. And speaking of Gorilla Sushi, not only do you need to stop by (I might have a little crush on Jason) but they’re also having yet another monthly giveaway. Here’s the scoop:

To gain entries into the contest, just do any of the following:
- Make a comment of value (not just “i agree”, etc.) on a post = 1 entry (remember to comment on all blogs)
- Subscribe to RSS via email = 2 entries (per blog you subscribe to!)
- Write a post about the contest on your blog (must include a link to this page and the links below to participating blogs) = 25 entriesPlease note: If you are already subscribed to any of the sites below, you are already earning entries. Also, to get credit for posting about the contest, your post’s link must show up in the comments below or in the comments on one of the other blogs below.
How much easier can we make it? So you can sneak in with just one entry by simply posting a comment here, you can increase your odds by reading and commenting on a few more posts here and at one of the blogs below and maybe subscribe to a couple, or you can really up the odds and subscribe to all all of our blogs (which you’ll enjoy reading anyway), comment on a bunch of posts, and blog about this contest. The more entries you earn, the better your odds, of course. If you’re going to post about this contest, just grab the image and code from here.
The deadline for this contest is 12:00 AM April 1, 2008.
Who wants to pay you?

Well, that’s all I’ve got for now. It’s still early but since I won’t be around much tonight I figured I’d get this out of the way.
Ciao!
