I love blog giveaways. Not only do you get the chance to win some very cool stuff, you also get to discover new products and new blogs.

I’ve entered quite a few giveaways and I’ve even won two of them. A few weeks ago, I entered a giveaway from Pinks & Blues “Mama Loves Giveaways” (yes, she does!) for a 25th Birthday ‘My Little Pony’ set and won! It came in the mail a couple of days ago. Princess was so THRILLED to have 3 new members in her My Little Pony Family. (Remember the pictures of her riding her My Little Pony bike? She loves My Little Pony!) I think we might need a DNA test to determine Butterscotch’s father though. As you can see in this picture, the other two - Bluebell and Cotton Candy - look exactly like their mothers but we can’t say the same about Butterscotch. Oddly enough, we don’t have any other yellow ponies in our house. This is what happens when you leave them in an unlocked car while you’re grocery shopping.
So, anyway, speaking of giveaways, I received an email tonight from Hybrid Mom telling me I was one of the recipients of a Smashbox cosmetics set valued at $50 for answering their survey last week. Woot!! I’m kind of a makeup junkie so I’m excited! I can’t wait to see what all is in it!

One of the bad things about being a single mom is that there’s rarely any money for luxuries and treats. I mean, I’d never be able to treat myself to Smashbox products and I wouldn’t have been able to buy that My Little Pony set for Princess any time soon. So I don’t think the people who host these giveaways always know just how special these things are to the winners.
