So I guess I didn't scare you off, huh? Good! Welcome back!
Just wanted to say hi to any new visitors from the Ultimate Blog Party which started today. I used to blog more often but between being a single mom and running my own business, this poor lil blog kinda gets neglected.
Anyway, here are just a few things I’d like to share with you about myself:
My blog is called That Crazy Mom because, well, I am. I’ve been diagnosed with a mental illness and not only am I completely open about it, I also poke fun at the whole “crazy” label too. I just blogged about it recently on this post.
Like I said, I’m a single mom. I have an 18 yr old daughter, a 16 yr old son, and a 6 yr old daughter. I don’t use their real names and you won’t find any pictures of them here. But if you see me refer to Sissy, Bubba, or Princess…that’s them. And Doodlebug…she’s my grandbaby. She joined our little asylum on January 4th, 2009.
I am a business owner. I started out with a Virtual Assistant biz but now I do blog design and online business management.

There’s some other stuff but I forgot what I was going to say. I tend to do that in real life a lot too.

I am pretty new to your blog but not from the blogparty you mention.
I too am single mother to three- 19, 17 and 16 yr olds. Grandmother really? yikes!
I don’t own my own business but until my lay-off this past February was a Single working mother and until about a year ago a full-time student also. So I know about the crazy!
I’m new to blogging, it is more for me than for money but I will love reading up with you.

Stopping by from the UBP. As someone whose family has been touched my mental illness, I am glad to see openess about it! Hopefully, the more it is talked about, the stigma attached to it will begin to fall away!

I understand the stigma people attach to the “crazy” label. My brother is mentally ill and it’s amazing to me what people assume. Ignorant…

Hi, glad to have found your blog! I have mental illness and mental disorders too. (Chronic depression, anxiety, ADHD, Aspergers, and Executive Functioning Disorder are the main ones.) I read where you posted about the stigma of mental illness. I know how that feels… aometimes its like you can’t say or do anything without someone trying to blame it on your “illness.” My worst one is when you’re upset about something and someone (in my case, usually my parents) says, “Are you taking your medication?” Ugh!

New crazy mom, crazy is not all that bad. You should read spark of genius, it turns out that there’s a fine line between genius and madness. Accept your greatness, and think if Einstein, DaVinci, Newton, and Poe, had it, then you’re A ok.
