I hate it. I thought that was the point in having kids? Aren’t they supposed to do chores and stuff?
I definitely did not inherit the neat-freak gene from my mother. When she sold her house in Oklahoma, all she did was add a few decorations and it was show-ready. My house? I need at least three days notice before anyone comes over.
The three chores I hate the most are dishes (even with a dishwasher), laundry, and the bathroom. So I make the kids do the dishes by threatening them with bodily harm if they plan on watching TV or getting on the computer. And the laundry…well, I’m still working on that one. But I do love my new Charlie’s Soap. It’s cheaper and its non-toxic and biodegradable. And cleaning the bathroom just got a whole lot easier with Scrubbing Bubbles Action Scrubber. Its got these disposable pads that attach to the scrubber and the scrubber has an easy-grip handle. Soooo much easier than dragging out a nasty sponge and a can of Ajax (or, in my case, baking soda) and then rinsing that sponge out again. I’m all about convenience and less nastiness.
Maybe now that cleaning the bathrooom got easier, I can bribe the kids into doing that one too.
