Liar liar pants on fire

Hey, if this is your first time here, subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Apparently desperate times really do call for desperate measures.

You would not believe the accusations in Sperm Donor’s latest motion. Asking for “emergency custody”, calling me “psychologically abusive”, asking for the court to order me to take Princess to the daycare he wants her to go to which is 30 miles from my house, putting words in the therapist’s mouth.

Yeesh.

Anyway, speaking of Princess, there’s something wrong with her. I don’t mean in a “she’s so weird!” kinda way. I mean like physically wrong with her. This afternoon she fell asleep in the recliner while watching a movie which was no big surprise considering she got up when I did early this morning so I knew she’d be tired later in the day.

But then I took her to her appointment and she just burst into tears over something small that usually would just frustrate her a little bit. She’d said something earlier about her head hurting but I didn’t think much of it. See, we were in Target and I said something about getting Tylenol and she asked me what it was and I told her it was for my headache. Five minutes later, she says she has a headache. I shrugged it off.

Then we’re walking through Aldi grabbing a few groceries and she would be fine one minute - chattering away, talking to Sissy on the phone - then she’d start crying again, saying her tummy hurts and she just wants to go home. One minute she’s asking for Burger King, the next minute I can’t even talk her into eating some applesauce.

We get home, she curls up on the couch next to me (no fever…I checked her temp), and by 6:30 she’s passed out. By 7:00 she’s snoring. And now at 7:30 she’s talking in her sleep.

Hmmmm…Mom says call Ask a Nurse or something. She feels a little warm but then again she’s been laying under a blanket.

I hate these kind of “What Do I Do?” moments of motherhood.

It could be some growing pains, my boys both would fall asleep and complain of headaches around that age too.
But to be safe, take her to the docs and have her checked out.
You never know what it could be.

She did end up having a fever of 101-102 so I called the ER, gave her some Children’s Motrin, she’s fine this morning.

Bless her heart. I’m glad she’s doing ok today.
