Does anyone else remember those shampoo commercials and that brand, or am I really showing my age here? What about the ones that claimed they had beer in them? (Maybe they really did, who knows. I wasn’t about to drink the shampoo and find out.)

Anyway, the whole point of this post is shampoo. Suave Shampoo to be exact. And Suave conditioner. And Suave mousse. And Suave hairspray. Oh yeah, baby! Your favorite affordable hair care line has it all.

Why did I highlight “affordable”? Because the economy sucks. And I’m a single mom. Affordable is important to me.

But so is quality. And Suave has that too. I had the chance to try out some of their products from Suave Professionals via Mom Central. These are just as good as the so-called “professional” shampoos but cost a WHOLE lot less.

I tried the Vibrant Shine and Bubba tried the Color Care. (Yes, the child colors his hair. Don’t ask.) I also had a chance to try the Styling Foam mousse before he stole borrowed it from me.

Loved. Them. I kid you not, when I was out driving around running errands after I had messed around with my hair trying this stuff out, I got cat-called. No joke. First time in a very, very, very long time quite a while that a work truck full of guys hollered at me.

Now I’m already a devoted Suave user - I have the coconut body wash, Princess has their strawberry body wash for kids - so I wasn’t at all surprised that I liked the shampoos and conditioners too.

Did I mention how inexpensive it is? And how “inexpensive” is important to me? And how the economy sucks and I’m broke? I did? Sorry. But its true!!

So the next time you you’ve got your shampoo bottles tipped upside down trying to get every little drop out, just grab some Suave instead. At their prices, you can just toss out that last little bit and go buy more.
